Little Mashers Summer news and plans!

As promised we are endeavouring to be more consistent with our blog and to keep our lovely customers up to date. Lots has happened in the last couple of months and we finally feel that this small ship is gradually turning around after what has been an exhausting last two years. Along with every other small uk company we feel like we have been treading water to keep afloat whilst everything around us changed. Finally we feel the energy coming back to propel us into a new and exciting future.

In late winter, spring we spent a lot of time planning a new shaped Little Mashers looking at  what we wanted to achieve, new directions and small milestones. This included contacting galleries, putting forward briefs for educational workshops and contacting new buyers to include more galleries, museums etc . It seems the work has been paying off and as well as running a fab Jubilee workshop at the Turner Contemporary ( if you have never visited please go, the building is an amazing space and Margate is a great place to visit) we have also got plans for workshops at local galleries, Hastings Contemporary and the De la Warr as part of their summer programmes of creative activities and events.  We are also proud to be stocking lots of other galleries and museums nationwide including Manchester Art Gallery, The Science Museum and The Tate. We’re so excited by these new stockists as we feel our products are so relevant to these establishments. Alongside these new developments is an ongoing project that we are working on which will hopefully come to fruition next year. We can only tell you that it’s incredibly exciting if all goes to plan.

This summer Little Mashers will be running a series of small workshops here in the studio. These  are currently in the development stage and will be revealed soon. Some of them will be collaborations with local businesses and we will most definitely be repeating a similar workshop held in the spring half term with the fabulous Cabaret Mechanical Theatre. Adults and children were invited to come and build their own automata ( a mechanical moving piece of art) and some of the creations were amazing. We are also privileged to host three of @cabmechs original pieces in the shop, that you can come and view and press the button! To get up to date info and dates on our workshops, please email us at info@littlemashers.com and we will put you on our workshop mail out.

Its going into trade show season ( mainly online now) and so we are busy creating new products and designs ready for (dare I say it ) the Xmas/gifting  season. These will be shared as soon as they are finally tuned and ready to go.

As always we thank you all for your support of our little UK brand.

Love
