An Adult monoprinting workshop where you will learn basic monoprinting using silkscreens and inks. This is a really fun introduction to printmaking and allows for spontaneity, experimentation, and unique results. It’s a great way to explore your creativity and produce quick, one-of-a-kind prints! Price includes a glass of wine/ prosecco and maybe a few Monster Munch type crisps!

PRINT AND UPCYCLING EASTER WORKSHOP- LITTLE MASHERS CLOTHES HOSPITAL BRING IT AND BLING IT!

This session will be for parents and kids combined. You are invited to bring along any clothes that are stained, ripped or just need a little “shooshing” up. You can stamp, stencil screen print and patch old denim, t-shirts, skirts, trousers or jackets. Embellish, personalise and print an existing item into a work of art, using various printing techniques including silkscreening, stamping, stencilling and patching.

A TOWN EXPLORES A BOOK – THE RAILWAY CHILDREN

Supported by ATEAB this free drop in workshop will coincide with an all day Street Party on
Kings Road to celebrate E Nesbit’s The Railway Children. They’ll be an array of exciting free activities all day. As part of the celebrations we are hosting a design with stamps print workshop.

Design and make your own giant stamps to print up a banner or poster. Using stamp making materials, you will design, draw and cut a large scale stamp to print up your artwork. This can be made into either a poster or a banner. All materials will be supplied.

PLAY AND PRINT – MONOPRINTING

A simple but effective form of printmaking which will suit all ages. Paint and stencil directly onto a screen and see the wonderful results. This is a really fun creative printing process and all participants will come away with a series of freeform prints based on the theme of Carnival.

Back by popular demand we will be inviting young and old to design and print their own
band t-shirt. This might be for a band that already exists or for one that you would like to create. It could be real or imaginary. This workshop will include designing and screen printing a two colour design onto a t-shirt. 
(These can be provided at an extra cost, or you can bring in your own plain t-shirt )

To celebrate carnival week and our lovely towns, we would love you to come and design / screenprint your very own St Leonards / Hastings T-shirt. Using stencils, paper cutouts, lettering and images, be imaginative as you like and express what this town means to you. We supply t shirts but you can bring a plain one of your own to upcycle ( We charge less ).

The Curious Kids Festival is an immersive child centric arts festival which aims to provide young people with an opportunity to take part in a variety of vibrant “curiously creative” workshops. There will be a diverse programme of activities run by experienced local artists, which will captivate and excite children, with the emphasis being on creativity and curiosity.

Each child will be given a Curiosity Passport on entry to prompt them to explore the space, take part in all the activities on offer and create their own collection of festival memorabilia to take home.

The festival will be split into two sessions from which to choose, 10-1 pm and 2-5pm and families can have the opportunity to explore as many of the activities as possible during their session. For more information on artists involved and to buy tickets for this fab event click on link below.
